Overview
The Finance AI Tools Directory is a curated, searchable list of AI tools that are relevant to finance and accounting teams. Each entry includes a short description, use cases, and links so practitioners can quickly find and evaluate options. The site is built with Astro for fast loads and simple content updates (e.g., via a CMS or Notion).
Problem
Finance professionals are bombarded with “AI” product claims but have few trusted, curated places to see what’s actually useful for their workflows. Generic software review sites don’t focus on FP&A, accounting, or controllership use cases.
Approach
- Curate a list of tools with clear criteria: relevance to finance, actual AI capability (not just marketing), and practical use cases.
- Present them in a simple, fast site: filter by category (e.g., spreadsheets, BI, document AI), search, and clear CTAs.
- Keep content manageable by storing entries in a simple data source (e.g., Notion or Markdown) and rendering with Astro.
Tech Stack
- Astro — Static site generation and performance
- Notion API (or similar) — Optional backend for non-developers to add/edit tools
- Tailwind — Styling and responsive layout
Results
